Joyce Hollingsworth, Director
of Programs and Planning for the Angola University Project |

- Thanks to an anonymous generous donation, effective 01 August
2009, Joyce Hollingsworth joined, for a year, SHAREcircle staff
as the Director of Programs and Planning of the Angola University
project. Hollingsworth has over 20 years of experience as President
of Hollingsworth & Associates where she provided organizational
development and planning services to well over 100 non-profit, government
and educational organizations at the local, state, national and
international level. Prior to establishing her own consulting business
Hollingsworth was an Executive Director and Program Director of
2 non-profit organizations in Chicago.
In her previous work she designed curriculum
and taught courses on innovative program design, measuring outcomes,
project management, process improvement, and strategic planning
at a number of universities including: the University of Chicago’s
Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University’s Kellogg
School of Management, the University of Illinois, DePaul University
and Roosevelt University.
Prior to joining SHAREcircle’s
Angola University Project full-time as Director of Programs and
Planning, she was an active volunteer for the project, working with
the Executive Director, facilitating strategic planning sessions,
drafting funding proposals and conducting extensive background research
on Higher Education in Africa and Angola. Hollingsworth has also
worked with an organizational development project with Sparrow Schools
in Johannesburg, South Africa and a Social Entrepreneurship program
in Kigali, Rwanda. She brings to the table 20 years of experience
designing and facilitating 25+ different complex public private
partnerships and collaborative projects involving stakeholder groups
from different sectors. This combined experience in Africa, education,
planning, organizational development and public private partnerships
prepares her to serve the Angola University Project as Director
of Programs and Planning.
